Duck Day Out – Bramhall Duck Races
6 May 2022
It’s finally May, the sun is (mostly) out and here at PAL Hire we can’t wait to start celebrating outdoors. In fact, one of the events we have our eye on is the Bramhall Duck Race and that’s not just because our head office is in Hazel Grove, Stockport, not very far from the location of this year’s Duck Race.
So, as any respectable business would, we sponsored a duck!
We held a naming ceremony in the office and let me be the first to introduce you to our cute little duck named Pal-lard – very punny, we know.
On top of little Pal-lard, we’ve also sponsored a race, which we’ve appropriately named the ‘PAL Bram’ National’ – oops, someone decided to hold the race naming ceremony the same week as the Grand National.
The Bramhall Duck Race is a great family day out with a range of activities happening alongside the duck races. There are various other attractions as well, including bouncy castles, games, singers, dancing groups, craft stalls and so much more.
So why not make a full day out of it? You can sponsor a duck, watch the local celebrities and businesses race against each other, or just sit back and bask in the sun.
For those of you wanting to attend, you can find all the information down below.
The races begin at 11:00 am and finish at 4:00 pm on Sunday 15th May at Bramhall Park. There are 3 free buses running to and from the park throughout the day from Bramhall village co-op, Hazel Grove High School, and Church Road in Cheadle.
- For the Meadway car parks, the pick-up point is across the road – just outside the now-closed Pizza Express
- For Hazel Grove High School, the pick-up point is the lay-by opposite the school and
- you can park in the school car park.
- For Cheadle Hulme High School, parking is ‘Club Cheadle Hulme’, Woods Lane, and the pick-up point is there.
- For Cheadle Hulme School, use their entrance on Hulme Hall Road and use their car park. The bus will pick you up from that car park
Entry is free however you may purchase tickets for the duck race for £1 to sponsor your own duck and be in with a chance to win £100. The money raised from the day will be donated to Motor Neurone Disease, Manchester which helps to support those in the Manchester area living with Motor Neurone Disease.
The address of the park is as follows:
The Hall Bramhall Hall, Stockport SK7 3NX
